INTRODUCTION
The walls of Jericho were a formidable barrier standing between Israel and their promised land. These walls symbolise obstacles, limitations, and strongholds that hinder people from entering into their divine inheritance. Just as God gave Joshua and the Israelites divine strategy to bring down Jericho’s walls, believers today can also pull down spiritual and physical barriers through faith, obedience, and divine intervention.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE WALLS OF JERICHO
Before conquering Jericho, the Israelites had to confront its walls.

a) Walls Represent Hindrances to Destiny
The walls of Jericho stood as a barrier between Israel and their promised land (Joshua 6:1).

b) Walls Symbolise Stubborn Problems
Jericho’s walls were strong and seemingly impenetrable, just like some life challenges (Isaiah 45:2).

c) Walls Represent Spiritual and Physical Opposition
Some obstacles are spiritually engineered to delay or hinder progress (Daniel 10:13).

d) Some Walls are Built by Fear and Doubt
Unbelief can become a wall that blocks breakthroughs (Matthew 13:58).

e) Biblical Example:
The Red Sea was an obstacle until God made a way through it (Exodus 14:21-22).

2. STRATEGIES FOR PULLING DOWN YOUR JERICHO WALLS
To overcome obstacles, believers must follow divine strategies.

a) Obedience to Divine Instructions
Joshua and the Israelites followed God's command without questioning (Joshua 6:3-4).

b) Persistent Faith and Patience
The Israelites marched for seven days without seeing results, but they remained faithful (Hebrews 11:30).

c) Spiritual Warfare and Prayer
Some walls will only fall through intense spiritual warfare (2 Corinthians 10:4).

d) Prophetic Praise and Shouting
Praise can trigger divine intervention and breakthroughs (Psalm 149:6-9).

e) Biblical Example:
Paul and Silas prayed and praised God, and their prison doors were opened (Acts 16:25-26)

3. SIGNS THAT YOUR JERICHO WALLS ARE COMING DOWN

When breakthrough is near, certain signs will manifest.

a) Opposition Will Increase Before the Breakthrough
Before walls fall, the enemy fights harder (Exodus 5:7-9).

b) Divine Instructions Will Be Released
God will reveal the next steps to take (Isaiah 30:21).

c) A Shift in the Spiritual Atmosphere
Expect changes in dreams, revelations, and confirmations (Daniel 2:19).

d) Unusual Acts of Faith Will Be Required
Radical obedience and acts of faith often precede breakthroughs (Luke 5:4-6).

e) Biblical Example:
The woman with the issue of blood received her healing when she acted in faith (Mark 5:27-29).

4. ENEMIES THAT KEEP THE WALLS STANDING
Some forces resist the falling of Jericho walls.

a) Fear and Doubt
The ten spies discouraged Israel because of fear (Numbers 13:31-33).

b) Disobedience to Divine Instructions
Disobedience can delay divine intervention (1 Samuel 15:22-23).

c) Lack of Faith and Persistence
Many give up too soon before their walls fall (James 1:6-7).

d) Sin and Unconfessed Transgressions
Sin can keep obstacles in place (Isaiah 59:1-2).

e) Biblical Example:
Achan’s sin hindered Israel’s progress after Jericho (Joshua 7:10-12).

5. HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR VICTORY AFTER BREAKTHROUGH
After the walls fall, guard your victory.

a) Stay in God’s Presence
Worship and prayer keep the victory intact (Psalm 91:1).

b) Walk in Holiness and Righteousness
Sin can rebuild the walls that were broken (John 5:14).

c) Keep Declaring the Word of God
Speak life over your destiny daily (Proverbs 18:21).

d) Testify and Encourage Others
Sharing your testimony strengthens your victory (Revelation 12:11).

e) Biblical Example:
The leper who returned to thank Jesus received wholeness (Luke 17:15-19).

CONCLUSION
The walls of Jericho stood as a great obstacle, but God brought them down through faith, obedience, and divine intervention. Every believer must identify their own Jericho walls and apply biblical strategies to overcome them. No matter how strong the barriers may seem, with God, they will surely come down.
