INTRODUCTION
Household and stubborn enemies are among the most dangerous adversaries because they operate from within. These are people who know you closely—family members, friends, or trusted individuals—yet they oppose your progress. Their attacks can be more harmful than external enemies because they have inside knowledge of your life. The Bible is full of examples of people who faced opposition from those closest to them, but through divine intervention, they overcame.

1. IDENTIFYING HOUSEHOLD ENEMIES
Household enemies are those who work against you from within your circle.

a) Who Are Household Enemies?
These are people within your family, workplace, or church who secretly plot against you (Micah 7:6).

b) Characteristics of Household Enemies

i. They pretend to love you but secretly despise you (Psalm 41:9).

ii They manipulate others to turn against you (2 Samuel 15:6).

iii. They are envious of your success (Genesis 37:11).

iv. They betray you at critical moments (Judges 16:18-21).

c) The Danger of Household Enemies
They have access to your personal life and can use that knowledge against you (Matthew 10:36).

d) How They Operate

i.  Sowing discord and lies

ii.  Delaying or stopping your progress

iii. Exposing your weaknesses to the enemy

e) Biblical Example:
Joseph’s own brothers plotted to kill him out of jealousy (Genesis 37:18-20).

2. UNDERSTANDING STUBBORN ENEMIES
Stubborn enemies refuse to give up, even when defeated.

a) Who Are Stubborn Enemies?
These are enemies who continue to fight you despite repeated failures (Exodus 14:5-9).

b) Signs of a Stubborn Enemy
- They do not stop attacking, even when exposed.

- They regroup and attack from different angles (Nehemiah 4:7-8).

- They use different people and methods to attack.

- They fight your destiny for generations (1 Kings 21:20-22).

c) Why Do Stubborn Enemies Persist?

- They see your destiny as a threat (Matthew 2:16).

- They are driven by satanic powers (Ephesians 6:12).

- They want to ensure your downfall (Daniel 6:4-5).

d) How to Deal with Stubborn Enemies
- Engage in persistent prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29).

- Invoke divine judgment (Psalm 35:1-8).

- Stay spiritually alert and discerning (1 Peter 5:8).

e) Biblical Example:
Pharaoh was a stubborn enemy who refused to let the Israelites go until he was drowned in the Red Sea (Exodus 14:27-28).

3. STRATEGIES FOR OVERCOMING HOUSEHOLD AND STUBBORN ENEMIES
Victory over these enemies requires wisdom, spiritual warfare, and divine intervention.

a) Depend on God for Victory
God is the ultimate deliverer from all forms of opposition (Exodus 14:14).

b) Engage in Spiritual Warfare
Prayer and fasting dismantle their schemes (Ephesians 6:12-18).

c) Walk in Wisdom and Discernment
Avoid unnecessary exposure of your plans (Matthew 10:16).

d) Break Every Evil Covenant
Household enemies often operate through ancestral covenants (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

e) Biblical Example:
David overcame Saul’s relentless pursuit through divine guidance and patience (1 Samuel 24:10-12).

4. GOD’S JUDGMENT AGAINST HOUSEHOLD AND STUBBORN ENEMIES
God fights for His children and brings judgment upon unrepentant enemies.

a) God Exposes Their Wickedness
He reveals hidden plots against His people (Psalm 64:7-8).

b) God Turns Their Evil Plans Against Them
Household enemies often fall into their own traps (Esther 7:10).

c) Divine Confusion Will Scatter Them
Their conspiracies will be dismantled (2 Chronicles 20:22-23).

d) God Will Vindicate His People
He defends those who trust in Him (Isaiah 54:17).

e) Biblical Example:
Haman plotted against Mordecai but ended up being hanged on the same gallows he prepared (Esther 7:9-10).

5. LIVING IN CONTINUAL VICTORY
Victory over household and stubborn enemies must be maintained through spiritual discipline.

a) Live a Life of Prayer and Fasting
Prayer keeps you ahead of your enemies (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

b) Guard Your Associations and Conversations
Be careful who you trust (Proverbs 13:20).

c) Stay Rooted in the Word of God
The Word gives divine direction (Psalm 119:105).

d) Walk in Love and Forgiveness
Forgiveness neutralises the enemy’s hold (Matthew 5:44).

e) Biblical Example:
Jesus overcame betrayal and persecution by committing everything into God’s hands (Luke 23:34).

CONCLUSION
Household and stubborn enemies are real, but they are not greater than the power of God. By engaging in spiritual warfare, using divine wisdom, and trusting in God’s protection, we can overcome them. God is our deliverer, and no enemy—internal or external—can stop His purpose in our lives.
