Description: This study teaches believers about God’s unlimited power, the importance of faith, and the assurance that no situation is beyond God’s ability to change.

INTRODUCTION

In Matthew chapter 19, after Jesus spoke about the difficulty of a rich man entering the kingdom of God, the disciples became astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Humanly speaking, salvation appeared impossible. Jesus then responded with one of the most powerful statements in Scripture: “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

This declaration reveals the limitless power and sovereignty of God. Human ability has limitations, but God has none. Situations that appear impossible to people are opportunities for God to reveal His glory, wisdom, and supernatural power.

Throughout Scripture, God consistently performed what seemed impossible: barren women conceived, seas divided, the dead were raised, and hopeless situations turned into testimonies. God specialises in doing what human strength, wisdom, and resources cannot accomplish.

Believers must therefore learn to trust God beyond natural circumstances. Faith in God’s power releases confidence, hope, perseverance, and expectation even in difficult situations.

1. HUMAN ABILITY HAS LIMITATIONS

Man cannot solve every problem through natural strength alone.

a) The disciples recognised human impossibility (Matthew 19:25)
Certain situations exceed human wisdom, strength, and resources.

b) Human effort alone cannot produce salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Redemption comes through God’s grace and power.

c) Natural understanding is limited (Proverbs 3:5)
Human reasoning cannot fully comprehend God’s ways and possibilities.

d) Earthly strength eventually fails without God (Psalm 127:1)
Lasting success requires divine help and intervention.

Biblical Example:
The Israelites stood helpless before the Red Sea until God intervened supernaturally (Exodus 14:10-16).

2. GOD SPECIALISES IN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS

Nothing is too difficult for the Lord.

a) Jesus declared that all things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26)
God’s power has no limitation or restriction.

b) God can do exceedingly abundantly above expectations (Ephesians 3:20)
His ability surpasses human imagination and understanding.

c) God speaks life into hopeless situations (Romans 4:17)
He calls things that are not as though they already exist.

d) God’s power overrides natural laws and limitations (Jeremiah 32:17)
The Creator controls creation and all circumstances.

Biblical Example:
Sarah conceived Isaac in old age because nothing is too hard for God (Genesis 18:13-14).

3. FAITH CONNECTS BELIEVERS TO GOD’S POSSIBILITY

Faith allows believers to trust God beyond visible circumstances.

a) Jesus taught that faith unlocks possibilities (Mark 9:23)
Believing God opens the door for supernatural intervention.

b) Faith focuses on God’s power rather than human weakness (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith sees beyond present limitations.

c) Doubt weakens spiritual confidence and expectation (James 1:6-7)
Believers must remain steadfast in trusting God.

d) Persistent faith produces testimonies (Luke 18:1-8)
Consistent trust in God leads to divine answers and breakthroughs.

Biblical Example:
The woman with the issue of blood received healing because she believed in the power of Jesus despite years of suffering (Mark 5:25-34).

4. GOD’S POSSIBILITIES PRODUCE TESTIMONIES AND GLORY

God’s intervention reveals His greatness and power.

a) Impossible situations become opportunities for God’s glory (John 11:40)
God uses difficult circumstances to reveal His power openly.

b) Divine intervention strengthens faith and worship (Psalm 126:1-3)
Testimonies remind believers of God’s faithfulness.

c) God’s miracles inspire others to trust Him (Acts 3:6-10)
Supernatural acts draw attention to God’s greatness.

d) God receives glory when human strength fails (2 Corinthians 12:9)
His power is perfected in weakness.

Biblical Example:
Lazarus was raised from the dead after four days, proving Christ’s authority over impossible situations (John 11:43-44).

CONCLUSION

Jesus declared that while certain things may be impossible with men, all things are possible with God. Human strength, wisdom, and resources have limitations, but God’s power remains unlimited and eternal.

Believers must therefore refuse fear, doubt, and hopelessness. No problem is too difficult for God; whether spiritual, financial, emotional, physical, or relational. Faith in God’s ability opens the door for miracles, restoration, breakthroughs, and divine intervention.

The God who performed wonders throughout Scripture is still able to do the impossible today. With Him, every hopeless situation can become a testimony.
