Description: When God unties you, every form of stagnation and barrenness gives way to divine fruitfulness and purpose fulfilment.
INTRODUCTION:
God created every human being for fruitfulness. From the beginning, His command was clear: “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.” However, many lives and destinies remain tied down by circumstances, fears, and spiritual chains that prevent them from fulfilling that divine purpose.
The story of the colt tied at the entrance of a village, waiting until Jesus sent His disciples to untie it, is a prophetic picture of what happens when grace locates a man. That colt had never been used, yet when it was untied and brought to Jesus, it became an instrument for divine glory.
When God unties you, He releases you into fruitfulness, relevance, and divine fulfilment. No chain, no curse, and no limitation can stop the one whom God has loosed.
1. UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING OF BEING TIED
To be tied means to be restricted, limited, or held back from fulfilling your purpose. Many people are gifted, but invisible cords keep them bound.
a) Spiritual bondage (Mark 5:3-5): Evil powers can tie destinies through curses, covenants, and ancestral altars.
b) Mental and emotional bondage (Romans 12:2): Wrong beliefs and fear can keep a person tied down in stagnation.
c) Environmental bondage (John 1:46): Some are tied by the limitations of where they come from or the people around them.
d) Sin and disobedience (John 8:34): Sin ties people and robs them of fruitfulness until repentance brings freedom.
Biblical Example: Lazarus was bound hand and foot with grave clothes even after being raised to life, until Jesus said, “Loose him and let him go” (John 11:44).
2. JESUS IS THE ONE WHO UNTIES DESTINIES
No power can untie a destiny except Jesus. When He speaks the word, every chain breaks and every limitation ends.
a) The word of the Lord brings liberty (John 8:36): “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
b) The power of Christ overrides human restrictions (Matthew 28:18): His authority is above every name and situation.
c) Jesus unties to redirect destinies for His glory (Luke 19:31): “The Lord hath need of him.” God sets people free to use them.
d) Divine untying is permanent (Nahum 1:13): “For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.”
Biblical Example: The woman bent over for eighteen years was loosed by Jesus in the synagogue, despite years of affliction (Luke 13:11-13).
3. PURPOSE OF DIVINE UNTYING
God does not set you free just for freedom’s sake; He releases you to bear fruit, impact others, and glorify His name.
a) To manifest divine potential (Matthew 25:14-15): When unbound, you begin to use the gifts God placed in you.
b) To serve the Master’s purpose (Luke 19:31): The colt was loosed because “the Lord had need of him.”
c) To become a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2): True fruitfulness blesses both you and those around you.
d) To display God’s glory (John 15:8): “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit.”
Biblical Example: Peter was freed from prison by an angel so he could continue fulfilling his divine calling (Acts 12:7-11).
4. STEPS TO EXPERIENCE DIVINE UNTYING
There are spiritual principles that position a believer to be untied from every chain of unfruitfulness.
a) Surrender to Jesus (Matthew 11:28): Freedom begins when you come under the Lordship of Christ.
b) Obey divine instructions (2 Kings 5:10-14): Obedience is the key to divine release.
c) Engage in prayer and fasting (Isaiah 58:6): “Is not this the fast that I have chosen… to loose the bands of wickedness?”
d) Walk in faith and gratitude (Hebrews 11:6): Faith connects you to God’s power and releases your miracle.
Biblical Example: Hannah was untied from barrenness through prayer and faith, and she became fruitful (1 Samuel 1:10-20).
5. EVIDENCE OF BEING UNTIED FOR FRUITFULNESS
When God unties a person, there will be visible proof of transformation and fruitfulness.
a) Divine progress (Deuteronomy 1:6): You begin to move forward where you once stood still.
b) Fruitful labour (Psalm 128:2): You begin to see tangible results from your efforts.
c) Restoration of joy and purpose (Isaiah 61:3): The bound are released into beauty and praise.
d) Manifestation of divine glory (Habakkuk 2:14): Your life becomes a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
Biblical Example: Joseph was untied from the prison of limitation to become a ruler in Egypt (Genesis 41:41-43).
CONCLUSION:
When God unties you, no force can tie you again. The same Jesus who commanded the disciples to loose the colt is still speaking today. Every destiny that has been delayed, limited, or frustrated will be released to manifest glory.
Fruitfulness is your covenant right. You were not created for emptiness or stagnation. As God unties you, you will enter into your season of divine productivity, joy, and expansion.
