Description: God is the Lord of times and seasons. He ushers His people out of old cycles of pain, dryness, and delay into new seasons of fruitfulness, restoration, and glory.

INTRODUCTION:
Life is governed by seasons, both in the natural and in the spiritual. Just as there is a time for planting and a time for harvesting, God also orchestrates seasons in our lives to align us with His divine agenda. Every believer must learn to discern when one season ends and another begins, for the God we serve is not static, He moves His people from glory to glory.

When God brings a person into a new season, He breaks the hold of the old;  the pain, the stagnation, the unfulfilled promises, and the struggles of the past. The God of new beginnings declares, “Behold, I make all things new.” A new season means a shift, a divine repositioning where closed doors open and long-forgotten dreams come alive again.

This study explores the transforming power of the God who changes times and seasons. He is not limited by your past or by circumstances; He is able to usher you into a fresh chapter filled with divine favour, progress, and fulfilment.

1. GOD IS THE LORD OF SEASONS
Every season in life is under divine control; no time exists outside His purpose.

a) God determines the changing of times and seasons (Daniel 2:21): He removes kings and sets up kings; He ends droughts and releases rain. No season is permanent unless God allows it.

b) God has a divine purpose for every season (Ecclesiastes 3:1): Each phase of life: whether joy or trial, prepares us for a greater glory ahead.

c) God’s seasons reveal His sovereignty (Psalm 31:15): Our times are in His hands, meaning no delay or transition escapes His knowledge.
d) God’s timing is perfect (Habakkuk 2:3): What may appear delayed is a setup for divine manifestation at the appointed time.

Biblical Example: Joseph’s life moved through distinct seasons: from the pit to Potiphar’s house, from prison to the palace (Genesis 41:39-41).

2. GOD ENDS OLD SEASONS AND BEGINS NEW ONES
When God decides to shift a person’s destiny, He closes old doors and opens new ones.

a) God ends seasons of sorrow (Psalm 30:5): Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning when a new season begins.

b) God delivers from stagnation (Deuteronomy 1:6-7): He commands His people to break camp and advance, signalling a new phase.

c) God removes reproach and shame (Isaiah 54:4): A new season erases the memory of past humiliation.

d) God restores what was lost (Joel 2:25): In the new season, years of waste are divinely recovered and multiplied.

Biblical Example: Israel moved from 430 years of bondage into freedom when God ushered them into a new season of deliverance (Exodus 12:41).

3. GOD PREPARES YOU FOR YOUR NEW SEASON
A new season requires spiritual readiness, renewal, and obedience to divine instructions.

a) God renews the mind before a new manifestation (Romans 12:2): Transformation begins internally before it appears externally.

b) God often tests faith before elevation (James 1:2-4): Trials refine us and make us fit for the new level He has prepared.

c) God instructs His people for the next level (Joshua 1:8): Success in the new season depends on obedience to His Word.

d) God equips with fresh grace and anointing (Isaiah 61:1): Every new assignment comes with new empowerment.

Biblical Example: Before David entered his season as king, God trained him through seasons of obscurity, battles, and faith (1 Samuel 17:34-37).

4. GOD REVEALS HIS GLORY IN THE NEW SEASON
When the new season comes, it is marked by the manifestation of God’s glory, favour, and supernatural breakthroughs.

a) God turns captivity into celebration (Psalm 126:1-2): His people become living testimonies of divine restoration.

b) God causes light to shine out of darkness (Isaiah 60:1): In new seasons, His glory dispels the shadows of the past.

c) God’s favour distinguishes His children (Psalm 5:12): What others labour for, the favoured receive with ease.

d) God multiplies the fruit of obedience (Leviticus 26:9): In the new season, the harvest of past faithfulness begins to show.

Biblical Example: Job experienced a new season after enduring affliction; the Lord gave him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10-12).

CONCLUSION:
Every believer must understand that God never leaves His people in one season forever. Just as the night gives way to dawn, so also the old must give way to the new when God intervenes. If you have been waiting, keep trusting, for your change is on the way.

The God who brings you into a new season will do for you what eyes have not seen and ears have not heard. He will shift your position, open new doors, and cause your life to blossom again. Prepare your heart and align with His timing — your season of divine visitation has come!
