INTRODUCTION
In Romans 15:1-7, the Apostle Paul continues his teaching on Christian relationships by calling spiritually mature believers to bear with the weaknesses of others. Rather than insisting on personal rights and preferences, believers are encouraged to seek the good of their neighbours, aiming to strengthen and build them up in the faith. True spiritual maturity is measured not by knowledge alone but by sacrificial love and humble service.

Paul points to Jesus Christ as the supreme example of selflessness. Christ did not live to please Himself but willingly endured suffering, rejection, and the cross so that humanity might be saved. Every believer is therefore called to imitate Christ by placing the needs of others before personal comfort and convenience.

The Apostle also reminds believers that God's Word provides encouragement, endurance, and hope, enabling Christians to live together in unity. Such unity glorifies God and demonstrates the transforming power of the Gospel. A Church marked by mutual acceptance and selfless love becomes a powerful witness to the world.

1. BEAR THE WEAKNESSES OF OTHERS
Spiritually mature believers should lovingly support those who are weaker in faith.

a) Carry One Another's Burdens (Romans 15:1)
Strong believers should patiently help weaker Christians instead of criticising or rejecting them.

b) Restore Others Gently (Galatians 6:1-2)
Correction should always be done with humility, compassion, and a desire for restoration.

c) Exercise Patience And Understanding (Colossians 3:12-13)
Love overlooks weaknesses and gives people room to grow spiritually.

d) Strengthen The Weak (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
Encourage those who are struggling and help them remain steadfast in their faith.

Biblical Example: Barnabas (Acts 9:26-28; 11:22-26). Barnabas patiently encouraged new believers and supported those whom others doubted, strengthening the early Church.

2. SEEK YOUR NEIGHBOUR'S GOOD
Love places the spiritual welfare of others above personal preferences.

a) Build Others Up (Romans 15:2)
Every action should contribute to another believer's spiritual growth.

b) Put Others Before Yourself (Philippians 2:3-4)
Humility enables believers to value the interests of others above selfish ambition.

c) Serve Through Love (Galatians 5:13)
Christian freedom should be expressed through acts of loving service.

d) Pursue What Benefits Others (1 Corinthians 10:24)
Seek not merely your own advantage but the welfare of those around you.

Biblical Example: Ruth (Ruth 1:16-17). Ruth selflessly remained with Naomi, placing Naomi's well-being above her own comfort and security.

3. FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the perfect model of sacrificial love and humble service.

a) Christ Did Not Please Himself (Romans 15:3)
Jesus willingly endured suffering to accomplish God's plan of redemption.

b) Serve With Humility (John 13:12-17)
Like Christ washing His disciples' feet, believers should joyfully serve others.

c) Endure Hardship For Others (Hebrews 12:2-3)
Following Christ requires perseverance, sacrifice, and unwavering love.

d) Reflect Christ's Character (Philippians 2:5-8)
Every believer should cultivate the humility and obedience demonstrated by Jesus.

Biblical Example: Jesus Christ (John 13:1-17). Jesus humbled Himself by washing His disciples' feet, showing that true greatness is found in serving others.

4. LIVE IN UNITY FOR THE GLORY OF GOD
Christian unity glorifies God and strengthens the witness of the Church.

a) Receive One Another (Romans 15:7)
Accept fellow believers just as Christ has graciously accepted you.

b) Be Like-minded In Christ (Romans 15:5-6)
Unity is built upon a shared commitment to Christ and His Word.

c) Encourage One Another Through Scripture (Romans 15:4)
God's Word produces hope, endurance, and spiritual maturity.

d) Glorify God Together (Psalm 133:1; Ephesians 4:3)
When believers live in harmony, God's name is honoured before the world.

Biblical Example: The Early Church (Acts 2:42-47). The believers lived in unity, shared with one another, devoted themselves to God's Word, and glorified God together, resulting in continual growth.

CONCLUSION
Romans 15:1-7 teaches that Christian maturity is expressed through selfless love, patient endurance, and a sincere commitment to building up others. Believers are called to bear one another's burdens, seek one another's good, and follow the example of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself sacrificially for our salvation. Such a lifestyle strengthens the Church and brings glory to God.

Therefore, let every believer choose humility over selfishness, service over personal ambition, and unity over division. As we accept one another, encourage one another through God's Word, and live for the good of others, the Church will become a powerful testimony of Christ's love and grace to a watching world.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, thank You for accepting me through the grace of Jesus Christ, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, help me to bear the weaknesses of others with patience and love, in Jesus name.

3. Father, remove every selfish attitude that prevents me from serving others, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, help me to seek the spiritual good of my neighbour in every situation, in Jesus name.

5. Father, give me the humility to follow the example of Jesus Christ, in Jesus name.

6. Lord, make me an instrument of encouragement and strength to fellow believers, in Jesus name.

7. Father, let Your Word continually fill my heart with hope, endurance, and wisdom, in Jesus name.

8. Lord, preserve the unity of Your Church and remove every spirit of division, in Jesus name.

9. Father, help me to glorify You through my relationships and service to others, in Jesus name.

10. Lord, let my life become a living example of Christ's love, humility, and selfless service, in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

1. You shall continually walk in humility and place the welfare of others above selfish ambition.

2. The Lord shall make you a source of encouragement, strength, and hope to many people.

3. Every spirit of pride and self-centredness shall be removed from your life.

4. You shall faithfully follow the example of Jesus Christ in love and service.

5. The Holy Spirit shall empower you to bear the burdens of others with joy and compassion.

6. You shall become an instrument of peace and unity within the Body of Christ.

7. God's Word shall strengthen your heart and fill you with enduring hope in every season.

8. Through your life, many believers shall grow stronger in faith and spiritual maturity.

9. The Lord shall use you to glorify His name through your character, service, and relationships.

10. You shall continually seek the good of others, walk in Christlike humility, strengthen the Church through your life and ministry, fulfil your divine assignment faithfully, and bring lasting glory to God all the days of your life, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
