INTRODUCTION:
One of the most comforting truths in Scripture is that God never forgets His people. He may seem silent, but He is never absent. When God "remembers," it means He is about to act in fulfilment of His covenant or promise. Divine remembrance always leads to divine intervention. When God remembers a person or a situation, change is inevitable, and His mercy is made manifest.

To be remembered by God means to be singled out for mercy, favour, and supernatural turnaround. It may appear like delay, but when God steps in, years of pain are replaced with moments of divine transformation. Let us explore how our God is the One who remembers His people.

1. GOD REMEMBERS IN TIMES OF DELAY

a) Divine remembrance brings an end to long waiting
(Genesis 30:22) God remembered Rachel and opened her womb after years of barrenness.

b) Delay is not denial with God
(Ecclesiastes 3:1) There is a time for everything.

c) God sees and records your tears
(Psalm 56:8) He collects our tears in His bottle.

d) Waiting on God will be rewarded
(Isaiah 40:31) Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

Biblical Example: Hannah was remembered by God and gave birth to Samuel (1 Samuel 1:19-20)

2. GOD REMEMBERS HIS COVENANT

a) God is faithful to His promises
(Deuteronomy 7:9) He keeps covenant and mercy.

b) He honours His word above all
(Psalm 138:2) His word will never fail.

c) Covenant remembrance provokes divine action
(Exodus 2:24) God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

d) You can activate God’s remembrance by prayer
(Isaiah 43:26) Put Me in remembrance.

Biblical Example: God remembered Noah and caused the flood to recede (Genesis 8:1)

3. GOD REMEMBERS THE RIGHTEOUS

a) God has a book of remembrance for those who fear Him
(Malachi 3:16) Their names are written before Him.

b) He rewards every act of righteousness
(Hebrews 6:10) God is not unjust to forget your labour.

c) The righteous are never forgotten
(Psalm 37:25) I have not seen the righteous forsaken.

d) Living a righteous life guarantees divine remembrance
(Proverbs 10:7) The memory of the just is blessed.

Biblical Example: Cornelius was remembered because of his prayers and alms (Acts 10:1-4)

4. GOD REMEMBERS IN TIMES OF AFFLICTION

a) Afflictions do not erase God’s promises
(Psalm 34:19) Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers.

b) God steps in when the fire gets intense
(Isaiah 43:2) You will not be burned.

c) He does not forget the oppressed
(Psalm 9:12) He remembers the cry of the humble.

d) The cry of His people moves Him to action
(Exodus 3:7) I have heard their cry.

Biblical Example: God remembered Israel in Egypt and sent Moses to deliver them (Exodus 2:24-25)

5. GOD REMEMBERS TO SHOW MERCY

a) God’s mercy never fails
(Lamentations 3:22-23) His compassions are new every morning.

b) Mercy rewrites negative history
(Titus 3:5) Not by works, but by His mercy.

c) Divine remembrance brings undeserved help
(Romans 9:15-16) He has mercy on whom He will.

d) Mercy is the doorway to restoration
(Isaiah 54:7-8) With great mercies I will gather you.

Biblical Example: The thief on the cross was remembered and received paradise (Luke 23:42-43)

CONCLUSION:
