BREAKING THE YOKE OF LACK, WANT, AND POVERTY

INTRODUCTION
Many people, including believers, suffer from financial struggles, lack, and poverty, which hinder them from fulfilling God’s purpose. However, poverty is not God’s will for His children. Through the power of God’s word, faith, and obedience, we can break the yoke of lack and step into divine abundance.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE YOKE OF LACK, WANT, AND POVERTY
Poverty is a bondage that limits destiny.

a) What is a Yoke?
A yoke is a burden or oppression that keeps people in financial struggle (Lamentations 5:4-5).

b) The Consequences of Lack and Want
Poverty brings sorrow and shame (Proverbs 10:15).

c) The Devil Uses Poverty to Oppress People
Satan keeps people in bondage through financial hardship (John 10:10).

d) God’s Will is Prosperity for His Children
God desires that we prosper in all things (3 John 1:2).

e) Biblical Example:
The Israelites suffered in Egypt under Pharaoh’s oppression until God delivered them into abundance (Exodus 3:7-8).

2. CAUSES OF LACK AND POVERTY
Understanding the root causes of poverty helps us break free.

a) Disobedience to God’s Financial Principles
Ignoring divine instructions leads to financial struggles (Deuteronomy 28:15-17).

b) Laziness and Lack of Diligence
Hard work brings prosperity (Proverbs 6:9-11).

c) Wrong Mindset and Fear
Fear and negative beliefs hinder financial progress (2 Timothy 1:7).

d) Wastefulness and Poor Management
Financial mismanagement leads to lack (Proverbs 21:20).

e) Biblical Example:
The prodigal son wasted his inheritance and ended in poverty (Luke 15:13-14).

3. GOD’S PLAN FOR FINANCIAL FREEDOM
God has provided a way out of financial struggles.

a) God Gives the Power to Get Wealth
Wealth is a divine empowerment (Deuteronomy 8:18).

b) God Supplies All Our Needs
He provides according to His riches (Philippians 4:19).

c) God Opens Supernatural Financial Doors
Divine connections and opportunities lead to prosperity (Isaiah 45:2-3).

d) God Rebukes the Devourer for His Children
When we honour Him, He protects our finances (Malachi 3:10-11).

e) Biblical Example:
God provided for Elijah through ravens and a widow during famine (1 Kings 17:6-16).

4. KEYS TO BREAKING THE YOKE OF POVERTY
Applying these principles ensures financial breakthrough.

a) Engage in Kingdom Giving
Tithing and offerings attract divine blessings (Luke 6:38).

b) Work Diligently and Be Productive
God blesses the works of our hands (Proverbs 22:29).

c) Develop a Wealth Creation Mindset
Renew your mind about finances (Romans 12:2).

d) Pray for Divine Ideas and Opportunities
God gives wisdom to create wealth (Isaiah 48:17).

e) Biblical Example:
Isaac sowed in famine and reaped a hundredfold (Genesis 26:12-14).

5. WALKING IN SUPERNATURAL ABUNDANCE
When we apply God’s principles, financial abundance follows.

a) Abundance is the Covenant Heritage of Believers
We are heirs of God’s riches (Galatians 3:14).

b) Trust in God as Your Ultimate Source
God is our Shepherd, we shall not lack (Psalm 23:1).

c) Speak and Declare Financial Breakthrough
Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

d) Avoid Debt and Financial Traps
The borrower is a servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7).

e) Biblical Example:
The widow of the prophet’s debt was miraculously paid through divine provision (2 Kings 4:1-7).

CONCLUSION
God’s plan for His children is to live in abundance and not in lack. Poverty is a yoke that can be broken through faith, obedience, diligence, and divine favour. As we follow biblical financial principles, trust in God, and take prophetic actions, financial doors will open, and we will walk in supernatural prosperity.

8. You shall testify of unexpected financial breakthroughs!

9. Wealth and riches shall be in your house!

10. This year, you will experience divine prosperity in Jesus’ name!
