THE GOD OF ELIZABETH SHALL VISIT YOU

Title: THE GOD OF ELIZABETH SHALL VISIT YOU

By Rev. Samuel Arimoro

Main Text: Luke 1:39-45
Supporting Texts: Luke 1:57-58; Psalm 113:9

INTRODUCTION:
The God of Elizabeth is a God who answers prayers, brings forth miracles, and grants favor in seasons of waiting. Elizabeth's miraculous conception at an old age is a powerful reminder that God can bring forth what seems impossible. This sermon encourages us to trust in the God who remembers His promises, who will visit us at the appointed time, and transform our lives with a miracle. The God who visited Elizabeth will visit you and fulfill His promise in your life.

1. THE GOD WHO REMEMBERS HIS PROMISES

a) God Is Not Slow in Fulfilling His Promises:
God's timing is perfect. He does not forget His promises, and He will fulfill them in due season (Habakkuk 2:3).

b) Divine Visits Are Timed by God’s Will:
Elizabeth’s visit by God was timed according to His will and purpose, not her own timing (Luke 1:24-25).

c) God's Visit Brings Favor and Change:
When God visits, He changes situations, brings favor, and answers long-awaited prayers (Luke 1:39-45).

d) Trust in God's Faithfulness:
God is faithful to perform what He has promised. Trust that He will fulfill His promises in your life (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

Biblical Example: Elizabeth, despite her age and barrenness, was visited by God, and she conceived John the Baptist (Luke 1:57-58).

2. FAITH THAT RECEIVES THE VISITATION OF GOD

a) Faith to Believe the Impossible:
Elizabeth believed in God’s power to give her a child, even when it seemed impossible. This faith opened the door to her miracle (Luke 1:45).

b) Faith That Hears and Receives the Word of God:
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Elizabeth’s faith was nurtured by the Word she received (Romans 10:17).

c) The God of Elizabeth Responds to Faith:
Just as Elizabeth's faith resulted in the miracle of conception, your faith in God will bring about your own divine visitation (Mark 11:24).

d) Let Faith Be Your Response to God’s Word:
When God speaks, believe and act in faith. Faith positions you for divine intervention (Hebrews 11:1).

Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood received healing because she believed in the power of Jesus (Mark 5:28-34).

3. SEASONS OF WAITING AND PREPARATION

a) Waiting Is Not Wasted Time:
Elizabeth had to wait many years for a child, but her waiting was part of God's perfect plan. Similarly, your waiting season is part of God's preparation for your miracle (Isaiah 40:31).

b) God’s Delays Are Not Denials:
Just because a promise is delayed does not mean it will be denied. God’s delay is often to perfect His plan for you (2 Peter 3:9).

c) Waiting Requires Patience and Trust in God’s Timing:
Patience in waiting brings peace. Trust that God's timing is always best (Psalm 27:14).

d) Your Waiting Will Lead to Your Miraculous Encounter:
As you wait in faith, expect a divine encounter that will change everything. God does not forget the righteous (Psalm 34:15).

Biblical Example: Abraham and Sarah waited for the promise of Isaac, but their waiting led to the fulfillment of God’s covenant with them (Genesis 21:1-2).

4. THE VISITATION THAT BRINGS GREAT JOY AND CELEBRATION

a) God’s Visit Brings Joy That Cannot Be Contained:
When God visits, joy fills your heart, and it overflows to those around you. Elizabeth’s miracle brought her great joy, and her joy was contagious (Luke 1:58).

b) Your Testimony Will Be a Source of Joy for Others:
Just as Elizabeth's pregnancy brought joy to her family, your miracle will bring joy and encouragement to others (Psalm 126:3).

c) Celebration Follows Divine Visitations:
A miracle from God is a reason to celebrate. When God answers your prayers, don’t hold back in praising Him (Psalm 47:1).

d) Testimony Releases the Power of God’s Goodness:
Share your testimony with others, for it will remind them of God’s power and faithfulness (Revelation 12:11).

Biblical Example: The birth of Jesus brought joy to the world, and the shepherds rejoiced at His birth, sharing the good news with others (Luke 2:10-20).

5. THE GOD WHO TURNED YOUR SORROW INTO REJOICING

a) God Can Turn Your Tears into Laughter:
Just as Elizabeth went from sorrow to rejoicing, God can turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

b) Divine Restoration Is Coming Your Way:
Whatever you have lost in your waiting season, God will restore it in abundance (Joel 2:25).

c) Your Testimony Will Be a Celebration of God's Goodness:
Like Elizabeth, your testimony will bring glory to God, and many will celebrate with you (Luke 1:58).

d) Joy and Rejoicing Are Your Portion:
The joy of the Lord will be your strength as you experience the visitation of God in your life (Nehemiah 8:10).

Biblical Example: After the birth of Isaac, Sarah declared that God had made her laugh, and everyone who heard her rejoiced (Genesis 21:6-7).

CONCLUSION:
The God of Elizabeth is the God who answers prayers, transforms situations, and visits those who wait in faith. As He visited Elizabeth and fulfilled His promise to her, He will visit you, turning your sorrow into joy and your waiting into celebration. Trust in the God who remembers His promises, and be assured that your divine visitation is near.
