INTRODUCTION

In a world full of struggles, many people seek solutions to persistent problems but often come up empty. The story in Luke 8:43-48 presents a woman who had suffered for twelve years, exhausting all human options without success. Her condition symbolises situations that seem prolonged, stubborn, and beyond human remedy.

Despite the crowd surrounding Jesus, this woman made a deliberate decision to reach out in faith. She believed that even a touch of His garment would bring healing. This act of faith distinguished her from the multitude and positioned her for a miracle.

This passage teaches that it is not mere proximity to Jesus that brings transformation, but a faith-filled connection. When faith reaches out, divine power is released, and restoration becomes inevitable.

1. DESPERATION CAN LEAD TO DIVINE ENCOUNTER

A deep sense of need often drives people to seek God wholeheartedly.

a) A Prolonged Situation (Luke 8:43)
The woman suffered for twelve years. Long-standing problems require persistent faith.

b) Failure of Human Solutions (Luke 8:43)
She spent all she had on physicians without success. Human efforts can reach their limits.

c) A Determined Heart (Mark 5:28)
She said within herself that touching Jesus would make her whole. Faith begins with conviction.

d) Turning to Jesus (Jeremiah 33:3)
Calling on God invites divine intervention.

Biblical Example: Blind Bartimaeus cried out persistently to Jesus despite opposition and received his sight (Mark 10:46-52).

2. FAITH REACHES OUT DESPITE OBSTACLES

True faith presses through barriers to connect with Christ.

a) The Pressing Crowd (Luke 8:42)
Many surrounded Jesus, yet only one touched Him in faith.

b) Ignoring Limitations (Luke 8:44)
Cultural and physical limitations did not stop her. Faith overcomes barriers.

c) Personal Responsibility (Hebrews 11:6)
Each individual must exercise faith to receive from God.

d) Focus on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2)
Keeping focus on Christ enables us to overcome distractions.

Biblical Example: Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Jesus, overcoming obstacles to encounter Him (Luke 19:1-4).

3. FAITH ACTIVATES DIVINE POWER

When faith connects, God’s power flows.

a) The Touch of Faith (Luke 8:44)
The moment she touched Jesus, she was healed. Faith releases power instantly.

b) Power Flows from Christ (Luke 8:46)
Jesus perceived that power had gone out of Him. Divine power responds to faith.

c) Distinction in the Crowd (Luke 8:45)
Many touched Jesus physically, but only one touched Him in faith.

d) Faith Brings Results (James 5:15)
The prayer of faith brings healing and restoration.

Biblical Example: The centurion’s faith brought healing to his servant without physical contact (Luke 7:6-10).

4. DIVINE TOUCH BRINGS WHOLENESS AND PEACE

God’s intervention is not partial, it brings complete restoration.

a) Total Healing (Luke 8:44)
The issue of blood stopped immediately. God’s power is complete.

b) Public Testimony (Luke 8:47)
She declared her healing before all. Testimonies glorify God.

c) Affirmation from Jesus (Luke 8:48)
Jesus called her “Daughter,” restoring her identity and dignity.

d) Peace as a Result (Luke 8:48)
She was sent away in peace. Divine encounters bring lasting peace.

Biblical Example: Naaman was completely healed of leprosy and restored after obeying God’s instruction (2 Kings 5:14).

CONCLUSION

The story of the woman with the issue of blood reminds us that faith is the key to accessing divine power. It is not enough to be around spiritual things; you must personally connect with Christ through faith. When you do, His power flows into every area of need.

No matter how long your situation has persisted, a touch of faith can change everything. Reach out to Jesus today with unwavering belief, and you will experience wholeness, restoration, and peace.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

1. You shall experience the touch that makes you whole in every area of your life.

2. Every long-standing issue in your life is coming to an end.

3. Your faith shall connect you to divine power and bring instant results.

4. You shall overcome every obstacle standing in your way.

5. The power of God shall flow into your life and bring total restoration.

6. You shall be distinguished by your faith among many.

7. Your testimony shall bring glory to God.

8. You shall walk in wholeness, peace, and divine health.

9. Every limitation in your life is broken by the power of God.

10. From today, your faith shall produce undeniable miracles.
