INTRODUCTION

God never intends for His people to struggle alone. Throughout Scripture, we see that He raises helpers to support, strengthen, and uplift His children in times of need. Whether it is through divine intervention, human assistance, or supernatural provision, God ensures that His people are not left without help.

Many times, when believers cry out for help, God responds by sending the right people into their lives. These helpers can come in the form of mentors, friends, destiny connectors, or even unexpected strangers. They are positioned by God to fulfil His divine purpose and bring relief to His people.

In this study, we will examine how God sends helpers, the different types of divine helpers, and how to position ourselves to receive the help God has prepared for us.

1. GOD SENDS HELPERS IN TIMES OF WARFARE

There are battles in life that require divine assistance, and God raises people to stand with us in such times.

a) God Sent Aaron and Hur to Help Moses

Moses needed support to keep his hands lifted during battle, and Aaron and Hur upheld his hands until victory was secured (Exodus 17:12).

b) Jonathan Strengthened David

Jonathan, the son of Saul, encouraged David during his time of distress and reaffirmed God's promise over his life (1 Samuel 23:16-17).

c) Elisha’s Servant Saw the Army of Angels

When the enemy surrounded Elisha, God opened the eyes of his servant to see divine reinforcements (2 Kings 6:16-17).

d) Paul’s Nephew Rescued Him

Paul was saved from an assassination plot because his nephew overheard the plan and warned him (Acts 23:12-16).

e) Biblical Example: Esther’s Role in Delivering the Jews (Esther 4:14)

God positioned Esther as a helper to intercede for the Jews before King Ahasuerus, leading to their deliverance.

2. GOD SENDS HELPERS IN TIMES OF NEED

When people are in distress or lack, God raises helpers to provide for them.

a) God Sent Ravens to Feed Elijah

During a time of famine, God commanded ravens to bring food to Elijah (1 Kings 17:4-6).

b) The Widow of Zarephath Helped Elijah

Even in her own lack, she obeyed God's instruction and provided food for Elijah, leading to supernatural provision (1 Kings 17:8-16).

c) The Good Samaritan Helped a Stranger

A man left for dead received help from an unexpected source (Luke 10:30-37).

d) The Woman Who Supported Jesus' Ministry

Women like Mary Magdalene and Joanna provided for Jesus and His disciples (Luke 8:2-3).

e) Biblical Example: Boaz as Ruth’s Destiny Helper (Ruth 2:8-12)

Boaz became a helper to Ruth, leading to her redemption and restoration.

3. GOD SENDS HELPERS TO LIFT HIS PEOPLE TO THEIR DESTINY

God raises people to connect His children to their purpose and elevate them.

a) Pharaoh’s Cupbearer Remembered Joseph

After years in prison, Joseph’s divine helper spoke on his behalf, leading to his promotion (Genesis 41:9-14).

b) Mordecai Received Honour Through the King’s Servants

The king’s scribe reminded him of Mordecai’s good deeds, leading to his elevation (Esther 6:1-10).

c) Naomi Advised Ruth on Her Next Step

Naomi guided Ruth on how to approach Boaz, which led to her breakthrough (Ruth 3:1-4).

d) Barnabas Introduced Paul to the Apostles

When others doubted Paul’s conversion, Barnabas spoke on his behalf (Acts 9:26-27).

e) Biblical Example: Samuel’s Role in Anointing David (1 Samuel 16:12-13)

God used Samuel to anoint David as king, setting him on the path to his destiny.

4. GOD SENDS HELPERS TO BRING RESTORATION

Divine helpers are instrumental in restoring what was lost.

a) Elisha Helped the Widow Recover Her Debt

A widow was about to lose her sons, but God used Elisha to provide a miraculous solution (2 Kings 4:1-7).

b) Nehemiah Led the People to Rebuild Jerusalem

God raised Nehemiah to restore the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:17-20).

c) Jesus Restored Peter After His Fall

Peter had denied Jesus, but Christ restored him to his calling (John 21:15-17).

d) King Cyrus Allowed the Jews to Return Home

God stirred King Cyrus’ heart to release the Israelites from captivity and rebuild the temple (Ezra 1:1-4).

e) Biblical Example: Job’s Friends and His Restoration (Job 42:10)

When Job prayed for his friends, God restored double of what he had lost.

5. POSITIONING YOURSELF FOR DIVINE HELPERS

To receive divine help, we must take certain spiritual steps.

a) Be Faithful in Your Assignment

Joseph was diligent in prison, which positioned him for favour (Genesis 39:22-23).

b) Walk in Humility

Humility attracts divine helpers, while pride repels them (Proverbs 29:23).

c) Be Prayerful

Jesus prayed all night before choosing His disciples, who later became His helpers (Luke 6:12-13).

d) Sow Seeds of Kindness

Mordecai helped the king, and his kindness was later rewarded (Esther 6:2-3).

**e) Biblical Example: Cornelius’ Generosity Opened Doors (Acts 10:1-4)

His consistent giving and prayers attracted divine intervention.

CONCLUSION

God is the ultimate helper, but He often works through people to accomplish His will. Divine helpers are instruments in God’s hands to lift, provide, restore, and connect His people to their destiny. However, receiving divine help requires faith, obedience, and alignment with God’s purpose.

If you are trusting God for help, remember that He has already positioned people to assist you. Your role is to remain faithful, prayerful, and receptive to His direction. As you do, you will encounter the helpers God has prepared for you.
