Description: God has the power to lift men from lowly positions and establish them in places of honour and influence.

INTRODUCTION:
The God we serve is a lifter of men. He specialises in raising people from obscurity to prominence, from the background to the front line. No man can lift himself beyond the level that God permits, for true promotion comes only from the Lord. When God decides to lift a person, no power on earth can hold him down.

Throughout the Scriptures, we see that God delights in exalting the humble and promoting the faithful. He can pick a shepherd and make him a king, as He did for David. He can take a prisoner and make him a prime minister, as in the case of Joseph. He can turn a rejected stone into the chief cornerstone.

Therefore, no matter how lowly your present condition may seem, God is able to give you a seat among princes. He changes stories, lifts destinies, and sets His children in positions of honour for His glory.

1. GOD IS THE LIFTER OF MEN
Every true elevation in life comes from the Lord. He alone determines who rises and who falls.

a) Promotion comes from GodPsalm 75:6-7
It is not by human connection or strength; God alone promotes and demotes.

b) God lifts the humbleJames 4:10
Humility attracts divine elevation; when you humble yourself before God, He lifts you up in due time.

c) God lifts to fulfil divine purposeExodus 3:10
God elevates men to positions of influence so that His purposes on earth may be fulfilled through them.

d) God’s lifting cannot be reversed by manNumbers 23:20
When God blesses and lifts, no curse or opposition can overturn it.

Biblical Example: Joseph was lifted from the prison to the palace. What men meant for evil, God turned to good for his divine promotion (Genesis 41:41-44).

2. GOD QUALIFIES THE UNQUALIFIED
When God decides to promote a person, He does not look at human credentials but at the heart.

a) God uses the foolish things to confound the wise1 Corinthians 1:27
God delights in lifting the seemingly unqualified so that His glory is revealed.

b) God sees potential where others see nothing1 Samuel 16:7
While men judge by appearance, God looks at the heart and chooses whom to lift.

c) God’s grace makes ordinary men extraordinaryZechariah 4:6
It is not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God that promotion comes.

d) God’s choice is finalRomans 9:15-16
His mercy and favour determine His choice, not human will or effort.

Biblical Example: David was the least among his brothers, yet God anointed him king over Israel because He saw a heart that would honour Him (1 Samuel 16:11-13).

3. GOD PREPARES HIS CHOSEN VESSELS FOR PROMOTION
Before God gives you a seat among princes, He prepares and tests your heart for responsibility.

a) Preparation precedes promotionPsalm 105:19
Joseph was tried until the time his word came. Trials are divine training for elevation.

b) Faithfulness in little brings promotion in muchLuke 16:10
God watches how you handle small assignments before entrusting you with greater ones.

c) Divine lifting comes after obedienceDeuteronomy 28:1-2
Obedience to God’s Word attracts supernatural elevation.

d) God’s timing must be honouredEcclesiastes 3:11
God’s promotion is never late; He lifts His people at the appointed time.

Biblical Example: Esther’s promotion to the throne did not come by chance. Her preparation, humility, and obedience positioned her for divine elevation (Esther 2:17).

4. GOD LIFTS HIS PEOPLE FOR HIS GLORY
When God gives you a seat among princes, it is not just for comfort but for Kingdom impact.

a) Divine lifting brings glory to GodMatthew 5:16
Our elevation should make others glorify our Father in heaven.

b) God lifts His people to influence others for righteousnessDaniel 6:3
Daniel’s promotion brought the fear of God into Babylon.

c) Divine promotion opens doors for Kingdom advancementGenesis 45:7-8
Joseph’s rise to power preserved an entire nation.

d) We must remain humble after liftingDeuteronomy 8:18
Remember that it is God who gives power to get wealth and honour.

Biblical Example: Daniel was lifted high in Babylon, and through his influence, kings recognised the supremacy of the God of Israel (Daniel 6:25–27).

CONCLUSION:
The God who gives a seat among princes is still at work today. No matter where you are or how low you have fallen, He can raise you up and give you honour. Your background does not determine your future; God’s favour does.

Stay humble, faithful, and obedient, for in due time, He will lift you beyond your imagination. When He exalts you, use your position to glorify Him and bless others.
