DESTROYING THE ALTARS OF WITCHCRAFT

DESCRIPTION: God empowers His people to destroy demonic altars and establish His righteous reign over their lives and families.

INTRODUCTION:
In biblical times, altars represented places of covenant, worship, and spiritual transactions. While some altars honoured God, others were dedicated to idols and demonic powers. Witchcraft altars are still active today—not as visible shrines alone, but as spiritual systems opposing God’s purposes in our lives, families, communities, and nations.

The enemy uses these evil altars to manipulate destinies, sow affliction, and hinder progress. But through Christ, every demonic altar can be broken. Just as Gideon was commanded to pull down his father’s altar to Baal, believers today are called to confront and destroy every structure of darkness that opposes God’s kingdom.

When we rise in prayer, obedience, and faith, God’s power is released to dismantle every wicked altar, establish His covenant of blessing, and release freedom and victory into our lives.

1. UNDERSTANDING WITCHCRAFT ALTARS
Witchcraft altars are spiritual platforms through which the enemy operates.

a) DEFINITION OF AN ALTAR (Exodus 20:24)
An altar is a spiritual meeting point between divinity and humanity. It can be for God or for evil powers.

b) PURPOSE OF WITCHCRAFT ALTARS (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)
They are used to invoke curses, control destinies, and resist God’s plan.

c) SIGNS OF WITCHCRAFT INFLUENCE (Isaiah 8:19)
Patterns of delay, confusion, strange sicknesses, or repeated cycles of failure can indicate demonic interference.

d) GOD’S CALL TO SEPARATION (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Believers must refuse to compromise with ungodly altars and stand for righteousness.

Biblical Example: King Hezekiah destroyed the high places and broke the altars of idolatry in Judah (2 Kings 18:3-4).

2. THE POWER OF CHRIST OVER EVERY EVIL ALTAR
Jesus has already secured victory over all powers of darkness.

a) THE CROSS DISARMED PRINCIPALITIES (Colossians 2:15)
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus stripped Satan of authority.

b) THE BLOOD OF JESUS SPEAKS BETTER THINGS (Hebrews 12:24)
His blood cancels every evil covenant made at ungodly altars.

c) HIS NAME IS ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME (Philippians 2:9-10)
Every power of witchcraft must bow to the name of Jesus.

d) WE HAVE DIVINE WEAPONS OF WARFARE (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
God has given us prayer, the Word, and the Spirit to pull down strongholds.

Biblical Example: Elijah confronted and destroyed the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, proving God’s supremacy (1 Kings 18:36-40).

3. STEPS TO DESTROY WITCHCRAFT ALTARS IN YOUR LIFE
God gives us practical steps to walk in victory.

a) IDENTIFY THE ALTAR (Judges 6:25)
Through prayer and discernment, locate areas where the enemy is at work.

b) RENOUNCE AND REPENT (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Break every agreement with darkness through repentance and confession.

c) RAISE A GODLY ALTAR (Genesis 35:7)
Build a life of prayer, fasting, and worship to establish God’s reign.

d) SPEAK GOD’S WORD IN FAITH (Matthew 4:10)
Declare Scripture to dismantle the enemy’s schemes and enforce God’s promises.

Biblical Example: Gideon obeyed God and pulled down his father’s Baal altar, leading Israel to victory (Judges 6:25-32).

4. LIVING IN CONTINUOUS VICTORY OVER WITCHCRAFT
Victory must be maintained through a consistent walk with God.

a) ABIDE IN CHRIST (John 15:5)
A life connected to Jesus ensures ongoing power over the enemy.

b) STAY FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (Ephesians 5:18)
The Spirit empowers discernment, boldness, and spiritual authority.

c) FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER BELIEVERS (Hebrews 10:25)
Community strengthens us against spiritual attacks.

d) GIVE NO PLACE TO THE DEVIL (Ephesians 4:27)
Avoid sin, bitterness, or compromise that could give the enemy access.

Biblical Example: The early church continually prayed and broke satanic opposition, resulting in growth and miracles (Acts 4:29-31).

CONCLUSION:
The altars of witchcraft cannot withstand the power of God. Every demonic system that has stood against your life, family, or ministry must crumble in the name of Jesus. Through Christ’s victory on the cross, you are empowered to dismantle every evil structure and establish God’s kingdom in your environment.

Rise in faith, take up the weapons of your warfare, and declare freedom and victory. When God’s fire falls, every strange altar is consumed, and His glory is revealed.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, thank You for the victory of the cross over every power of darkness.
2. Father, expose and destroy every hidden altar of witchcraft working against my life.
3. By the blood of Jesus, I break every evil covenant affecting my destiny.
4. Lord, raise a godly altar of prayer and worship in my life and family.
5. Every satanic delay or manipulation, be broken now in Jesus’ name.
6. Holy Spirit, empower me with boldness to confront the works of darkness.
7. Lord, let Your consuming fire destroy every demonic stronghold around me.
8. Father, release Your angels to guard and protect my destiny.
9. Lord Jesus, establish Your reign of peace and blessing in my life.
10. Thank You, Lord, for making me more than a conqueror through Christ.

GOD’S WORD FOR YOU TODAY:
1. You shall rise in power and destroy every altar working against your destiny.
2. You shall walk in freedom, for Christ has broken every chain of witchcraft.
3. You shall see God’s fire consume every plan of the enemy.
4. You shall stand as a testimony of God’s victory and authority.
5. You shall establish godly altars of prayer and righteousness in your home.
6. You shall overcome every delay and manipulation in your life.
7. You shall walk in boldness and fearlessness against every evil force.
8. You shall experience the fullness of God’s blessings and protection.
9. You shall see the downfall of every evil plot against your future.
10. You shall live as a conqueror, displaying the glory of God wherever you go.
