INTRODUCTION:
Divine escape refers to the supernatural deliverance orchestrated by God to rescue His people from danger, bondage, or impossible situations. Throughout the Scriptures, God has proven to be a present help, breaking chains, opening doors, and silencing the plans of the enemy. When God intervenes, no snare or trap can prevail against His children.
1. UNDERSTANDING DIVINE ESCAPE
a) God's Sovereignty in Deliverance:
God alone has the power to deliver His children from any captivity (Psalm 68:20).
b) Escape from Bondage:
delivers from physical, spiritual, and emotional bondage (Exodus 6:6).
c) Freedom from the Enemy's Snare:
The traps of the enemy cannot hold when God intervenes (Psalm 91:3).
d) The Role of Prayer in Escape:
Fervent prayer triggers divine intervention (Acts 12:5-7).
e) Biblical Example: Peter’s miraculous escape from prison (Acts 12:7).
2. CAUSES OF CAPTIVITY AND DANGER
a) Sin and Disobedience:
Sin creates a legal ground for captivity (Judges 6:1-2).
b) Enemy's Schemes:
Satan sets traps to derail God’s plan (1 Peter 5:8).
c) Ignorance of God's Word:
Lack of knowledge keeps people bound (Hosea 4:6).
d) Spiritual Warfare:
Believers face attacks from principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:12).
e) Biblical Example: Samson’s captivity due to compromise (Judges 16:18-21).
3. CHANNELS OF DIVINE ESCAPE

God sends angels to deliver His people (Psalm 34:7).
b) The Power of His Word:
God’s Word breaks every chain (John 8:32).
c) The Name of Jesus:
Deliverance comes through the mighty name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-11).
d) The Blood of Jesus:
The blood speaks victory and deliverance (Revelation 12:11).
e) Biblical Example: Daniel’s escape from the lions’ den (Daniel 6:22).
4. BENEFITS OF DIVINE ESCAPE
a) Freedom and Liberty:
God’s escape plan brings total freedom (John 8:36).
b) Protection from Future Traps:
God ensures the traps of the enemy are rendered useless (Psalm 124:7).
c) Restoration of Joy and Peace:
Deliverance brings back lost peace (Isaiah 61:7).
d) Testimonies and Glory to God:
Every divine escape leads to testimonies (Psalm 126:1-3).
e) Biblical Example: The Israelites’ escape from Pharaoh at the Red Sea (Exodus 14:26-30).
5. HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE ESCAPE
a) Trust in the Lord:
Trusting God activates His intervention (Proverbs 3:5-6).
b) Maintain a Prayerful Life:
Persistent prayer opens the doors of escape (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
c) Live in Holiness:
A righteous life guarantees God’s presence (Hebrews 12:14).
d) Be Spiritually Alert:
Watchfulness keeps you aware of enemy traps (Matthew 26:41).
